Ever hear of a dog described as a "haunted Victorian child in the body of a small dog that hates men and children?" Neither have we!
Apparently, those were the words spoken by Tyfanee Fortuna, owner of a 2-year-old New Jersey Chihuahua named Prancer. Fortuna made a recent Facebook post last week in which she described her dog in this way.
Her post also had some other interesting details:
"There’s not a very big market for neurotic, man-hating, animal-hating, children-hating dogs that look like gremlins. But I have to believe there’s someone out there for Prancer, because I am tired and so is my family. Every day we live in the grips of the demonic Chihuahua hellscape he has created in our home."
Yikes! It sounds like Fortuna has had a difficult time being Prancer's pet owner.
Her tragically funny Facebook post had been put online as a means for Fortuna to find someone who will take Prancer in. So far, it has already surpassed over 46,000 shares. It included some other unique features concerning Prancer, like ...
"Prancer only likes women. Nothing else. He hates men more than women do, which says a lot. If you have a husband don’t bother applying, unless you hate him," the post read.
Not everything Fortuna says about Prancer is negative, however.
"He is loyal beyond belief, although to tell you a secret his complex is really just a facade for his fear," her post says. "If someone tried to kill you I can guarantee he would run away screeching. But as far as companionship, you will never be alone again."
She goes on to say Prancer likes car rides, is housebroken, knows several basic commands, and will behave when at home by himself.
Still, Fortuna is seeking a new owner for him.
"We are still accepting applicants who are within a 3- to 4-hour radius of New Jersey, as we are still sifting through applications and trying to pick out his best fit ... A lot of people have applied who have husbands and pets, and we’d prefer he go to a home with just women and no other pets."
Fortuna has Prancer after originally fostering him for the Oak Ridge Second Chance Pet Adoption League in New Jersey.
