According to Terminix, a nationwide pest control company, Denver has been named one of the most "rodent-infested cities" in the United States in 2023.
Terminix says that rats and mice are so common in cities because of their access to food and sanitation practices. While they are small, they can create public health concerns and cause significant property damage. Terminix looked into the damage and determined which of its 300 branches dispatched the most rodent control services in 2023.

Terminix said the best ways to keep rats and mice out of your home are to seal off possible entry points like cracks and openings around doors, store food in airtight containers, clean food residue from your living space, throw out your garbage in tightly sealed bins, and organize clutter to avoid nesting sites.
