Delivery of recreational marijuana will start in July 2021, if the bills are approved.
Updated on December 22, 2020:
On Monday, December 21, a proposal for marijuana delivery in Aurora passed the final vote by the City Council. Should the mayor sign the proposal, businesses and transporters interested in the delivery service may be able to apply for licensing at the start of the new year, in January.
There will also be limits on how much marijuana products can be delivered to a customer per day.

According to reports, Denver and Aurora are both moving onto the next step of the marijuana market–home delivery.
Denver's Division of Excise and Licences has already drafted three bills in regards to marijuana delivery, which include allowing marijuana consumption at licensed bars. If passed, marijuana delivery licenses could start being issued on July 1, 2021. The city officials are still accepting public comments on the drafted bills until January 4, 2021.
Earlier this week, the Aurora City Council voted 8-2 to approve marijuana delivery. However, Councilmembers Francoise Bergan and Dave Gruber voted against the measure. A second vote on the ordinance will be held at the next meeting on December 21.
The proposals presented by both cities would make marijuana delivery licenses available only to social equity applicants for the first three years. This means those who have been arrested or convicted on marijuana-related charges.
Other cities in Colorado have already approved a similar project. Medical marijuana delivery is already available in Longmont, Superior, and Boulder. However, recreational delivery will not be available until January 1, 2021.
