DIA has earned its first place spot in North America, and it even came in seventh place worldwide!

Skytrax World Airports Awards released its annual winners, and Denver International Airport came in first place amongst every airport on the continent! It was also honored as the seventh greatest airport in the entire world. Centrair Nagoya beat out DIA (and its competition) for first place worldwide.

The Skytrax World Airport Awards are determined by customers in an annual global airport customer satisfaction survey. It evaluates customers' experience from check-in to arrivals, to shopping, security, and departures. This goes to show just how much DIA has stepped up its game in recent years. In 2018, it snagged first place in the United States and 29th place worldwide.

Growth has also exploded in the airport -- DIA has experienced record-setting growth the past five years. Last year alone, DIA had 64.5 million passengers pass through.
