Denver Police strapped in their newest recruit Olivia Gant, and let the terminally ill six-year-old fight crime for a day

Olivia Gant is only six years old and is currently battling neurogastrointestinal encephalomyopathy. This disease attacks many of the body's vital organs, and little Olivia has been in and out of the hospital for months on end. Seeing as no child should live their life without fulfilling their dreams - the Denver Police Department brought the terminally ill child onto the force to let her cross off "helping the police" off her bucket list. This isn't the first we've heard of little Olivia. Back in February, Make A Wish stepped in to make Olivia into "Bat Princess" for a day. During that day, Olivia the Bat Princess and her trusty side-kick Bat Prince toured around Denver in search of crime. Utilizing her bat-a-rang she successfully rescued Charger, the Chatfield High School mascot AND saved a princess from the clutches of the notorious Captain Claw. Her day of fighting crime didn't end there - as she also rescued a mermaid from an evil octopus at DaVita World Headquarters.

Olivia is back to her crime-fighting ways but this time helping our Denver boys in blue. When DPD heard about Olivia's wish to help the police, Cpl. Tim Scudder said officers were determined to grant it. Scudder took Olivia around on a lights-and-sirens ride to have Olivia catch yet another notorious bad guy (another Denver officer). Olivia was provided with her own uniform and badge, given the title of "Chief", and was given a front-seat ride in a patrol car. To share her day as Denver Police Chief, DPD posted a full video of Olivia's adventure which is quite possibly the sweetest thing we've seen all year so far. https://www.facebook.com/denverpolice/videos/1100152316756417/   Though the struggles Olivia and her family face are heartbreaking - Filling Olivia's days with laughter, adventure and love fill our hearts. What do you think about Chief Olivia?
