Brunch is a fantastic weekend activity! While I'm not a traditional breakfast food fanatic, I go crazy for brunch. Chicken and waffles? I'm in! Brunch cocktails like Bloody Marys (or Marias if you're like me and prefer tequila) and mimosas are also fun if you're feeling boozy. Whether you live in Denver or are just visiting, make sure to check out these top brunch spots for a delicious and satisfying mid-morning meal.

Best Brunch Spots in Denver:

Safta

Safta is an incredible restaurant in the Source Hotel with a fantastic brunch buffet. With a Mediterranean and Israeli menu, it's a step away from what you'd typically expect from brunch. That's part of what makes it so great! I've had brunch twice at Safta (and dinner once), and both times, I've piled my plate high and gone back for seconds and thirds. Talk about a feast! I (a scrambled egg-hater) even enjoy their scrambled eggs, which have a silky smooth texture. I highly recommend visiting this spot if you're looking for something different.

*The menu may change based on availability, but the spread is always fantastic.

Jelly Cafe has two locations, one in Cap Hill and one at DU. It offers plenty of yummy food options, including massive burritos. Don't forget to get the donuts! They come in various fun flavors, such as Mexican Chocolate and Thai Peanut. They even have gluten-free ones!

Bacon Social House

Bacon is a classic breakfast staple, and Bacon Social House has got you covered with all types! You can even order a bacon flight. Bacon Social House has locations in Littleton, South Broadway, and Sunnyside. Of course, they serve more than just bacon (how many times can we say bacon?). They've got pancakes, benedicts, chicken and waffles, and much more.

Lucile's Creole Cafe

Lucile's has locations in Denver, Littleton, Longmont, Erie, Boulder, and Fort Collins. Start your meal with Beignets, and get ready to dig into their Cajun Breakfast. If you want to bring NOLA to you, this is a great place to go!

Pete's Kitchen

If you're craving more of a diner vibe and don't care to drink, Pete's Kitchen is a great spot to check out. The Breakfast Burrito Supreme is a staple item that Pete created in 1989. It's filled with two eggs, hashbrowns, ham, bacon, sausage, and gyros. It's then smothered in green or red chili, cheese, tomatoes, and onions. Check out this Denver landmark for a hearty and delicious breakfast.

Denver Biscuit Co.

Denver Biscuit Co. has locations in Denver, Aurora, Centennial, Golden, Colorado Springs, and Kansas City. Denver Biscuit Co. makes everything in-house. The biscuits, gravy, jam, pickles, and honey butter are all homemade. If you're feeling indulgent, try out the Giant Biscuit Cinnamon Rolls. You can even add Tenderbelly bacon to it!

The Butcher Block Cafe

Another alcohol-free diner worth visiting is The Butcher Block Cafe, which has various locations in Denver. For over 30 years, these restaurants have been family-owned. Give them a visit for a no-frills, no-booze breakfast experience that will surely hit the spot. Sometimes, that's exactly what you need!

Onefold Breakfast & Coffee

Onefold has locations in Union Station and Uptown. It doesn't serve alcohol, but it offers a variety of fun coffee and tea options, among other drinks. It even makes an in-house bone broth. It also offers many great fun food options, including Congee, a rice porridge with indulgent savory ingredients such as duck confit, chili oil, and salted ginger.

Sassafras American Eatery

I think Southern-inspired cuisine is one of the best types of brunch. That's just what you'll find at Sassafras. Their menu has exciting and mouthwatering items such as the Chicken Pimento Biscuit and the Bison Hash & Chicken Fried Eggs. I know, I'm sold.

I hope this list of top brunch spots in Denver helps you find some new favorite spots. Each one offers a unique menu and dining experience, so check them out and indulge in some delicious food. Whether you prefer classic breakfast food or want to try something new and unique, there's no shortage of options in the Mile High City. Denver has it all, and brunch is no exception.
