Help keep the city's water supply at a healthy level by following Denver's watering rules.

Denver Water implemented summer watering rules, which went into effect on Saturday, May 1, and will continue until October 1. The rules help residents and city officials manage Denver's water supply as temperatures warm up and people use more water for gardening and landscaping, water activities, and more.

While the water supply is at a good place, Denver Water encourages residents to stay vigilant in conserving water after months of droughts ravaged the state. Soil moisture is low, and runoff from the Colorado River Basin is taking longer than usual to reach reservoirs. Following summer water rules will not only preserve reservoir levels but reduce the chance of future water restrictions.
