WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Independence Day is approaching, and News Channel 6 will be LIVE at this year’s 4th in the Falls Freedom Fest.

The City of Wichita Falls is coming together to honor our nation’s independence with this event co-hosted by the Sheppard Air Force Base.

The evening will feature food trucks, local vendors, a classic car show, live music, a beer tent, kids’ activities and a fireworks display to cap off the night. This year’s 4th in the Falls will also feature the Battle of the Bands.

The City of Wichita Falls invites the community to come out with their camping chairs, lawn chairs, and blankets for a comfortable evening under the stars.

The City of Wichita Falls said that no coolers, outside food or drinks, tents, personal fireworks, or backpacks are allowed. Additionally, only one unopened bottle of water per person is allowed.

News Channel 6 will be LIVE at 9:00 p.m., so tune in to see the fun if you are not able to make it out to the event.
