The new Trump robot at Disney World's Hall of Presidents looks nothing like Donald Trump and eerily looks a lot like ... Hillary Clinton.
This week, Disney World's Hall of Presidents unveiled their Donald Trump animatronic robot. Since the attraction opened in 1971, it has featured robotic likenesses of every single U.S. president. Some of the more famous presidents in history, like George Washington or Abraham Lincoln, have been given speaking roles. But tradition also dictates that the sitting president be given an animatronic robot to greet park guests with a speech that is usually paraphrased from his inaugural address. Rumors were abound earlier this year that President Trump had refused to participate in Disney World's design process, however, Disney was quick to squash those rumors as untrue. "President Trump personally recorded remarks exclusively for The Hall of Presidents," Disney revealed in a press release, "just as each sitting president has done for the attraction since the early 1990s."
The animatronic Trump-bot they unveiled includes a speech, read by the 45th president himself, highlighting the importance of America remaining a nation that is governed by its people.

It’s a privilege to serve as the president of the United States, to stand here among so many great leaders of our past, and to work on behalf of the American people.”The speech itself isn't what people are talking about, however. The internet got one look at President Trump's likeness and couldn't help but think it looked an awful lot like Hillary Clinton. One of the leading internet theories is that Disney's Imagineers began working on a Hillary Clinton robot, expecting her to win, and then were forced to change it to look like Trump at the last minute. If that is true, Disney World would not be the first to get burned by expecting a Hillary Clinton victory last year. Newsweek Magazine famously "accidentally" shipped their "Madam President" commemorative edition early to vendors.
Other theories say that this is what Trump would look like if he lost a little weight.
The mannerisms and hand movements are absolutely spot-on. Disney World announced that they have included the "latest advances in technology that enable smoother and more lifelike movements" for their animatronic Donald Trump. Typically, sitting presidents get the newest robotics technologies. When a new president takes over, Disney World's Imagineers rotate the outgoing president to a less advanced model since he will play a smaller role in the exhibit. Donald Trump received the internals from Barack Obama's previous robot, as well as some enhancements.
While the mannerisms are perfect, it is pretty clear that Disney World's new Trump-bot doesn't really look like the president at all. At this point, President Trump hasn't weighed in on the issue, but when he finally does tweet, he'll likely call it "Sad!"
