COLUMBIA, Mo. (KAIT) - The Donettes made history Saturday night in Columbia.

Doniphan girls basketball beat Benton 63-59 in the MSHSAA Class 4 State Championship. It’s the first state title in any sport in the history of the high school. Carsyn Hagood led the way with 31 points. Ellie White added 7 points and 10 rebounds, she had a key bucket in the final seconds to ice the game.

Adam Epps’ Donettes finish the season 29-2. They captured the Ozark Foothills Conference title and a District 1 Championship on their road to Columbia.
