The Angelika Film Center in Fairfax's Mosaic District will host the Northern Virginia International Film and Music Festival, April 1–14.
For the fourth year in a row, the Northern Virginia International Film and Music Festival is back, ready to screen hundreds of films from nearly three dozen countries! The two-week-long event will take place April 1–14 and will also feature a music festival, panels, workshops, seminars, and an awards ceremony -- all in the Angelika Film Center housed in the Mosaic of Fairfax. Tickets to the festival (or even to individual screenings and music performances!) are available on the event’s website. General movie passes are going for $15 and music passes for $10, while seminar, awards ceremony, and VIP all-access passes range between $25 and $275.
Guests will have a variety of excellent and award-winning movies to choose from, whether a satirical short film on North Korean Head of State King Jong Un, or award-winning sci-fi shorts such as the recent Rosebud winner “Rumination” by D.C. filmmaker Chad Eric Smith. The goal of the NOVA Film Fest is “Hollywood without the Hollywood,” helping to establish D.C. as a home for the film arts. Movies will be shown from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. nightly.
