A 34-year-old Dover man is in stable but critical condition after being shot several times Tuesday night.

Dover Police officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 400-block of East Water Street just after 7:00 p.m. The victim was found with wounds to his torso and lower body and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

Police found some shell casings at the scene.
