MITCHELLVILLE, Md. — The University of Maryland Capital Regional Health Foundation took a swing at knocking out cancer by hosting the 34th Annual Golf Classic "Drive Out Cancer", on Thursday.

The foundation aimed to raise funds to aid with cancer care. In April, UM Capital Region Health's Center for Advanced Medicine opened in Prince George's county. The center will focus on four types of cancer: breast cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, and prostate cancer. The center also features state-of-the-art treatment in radiation therapy, medical oncology, chemotherapy, and surgical oncology.
