A man turned himself in to Springfield police on Friday in connection with a crash that killed a cyclist on Thursday , the Springfield Police Department said.

“He was arrested on an unrelated warrant and on charges in connection with the crash,” police spokesperson Ryan Walsh said in a post on X . “...Additional information will be released once he is arraigned.”

At around 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, police went to Parker and Verge streets regarding a cyclist struck by a car, Walsh previously wrote on X. The cyclist was pronounced onsite.
