WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - 50th District Attorney Jameson Brooks celebrated a major drug bust today in a Facebook post outlining an investigation that put several locals behind bars and took thousands of grams of illegal drugs off the street.

Brooks said law enforcement served several warrants on Tuesday, May 13, arresting 11 people and seizing 15,784.6 grams of methamphetamine. The arrests spanned five Texas counties - Wichita, Archer, Baylor, Foard and Taylor - and even reached as far as Vale, Oregon.

Anzalone was the first to be identified after law enforcement captured him following a standoff in Baylor County .

Tuesday’s operation involved contributions from Texas DPS CID, DEA, Seymour Police Department, Baylor County Sheriff’s Office, 50th District Attorney’s Office, Archer County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Wichita Falls Police Department, Wichita County Sheriff’s Office and the US Attorney’s Office Northern District of Texas.
