Court processes are underway for a man recently listed as a missing person by Wichita Police after a drug-related arrest in Morris County this month.

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office says it was dispatched to the 1200 block of Four Mile Road near Council Grove on May 10 after a report of suspicious activity and possible trespassing. Deputies later found a rental vehicle from Wichita stopped in the road and later identified the driver as Kenneth Peterson of Wichita. Deputies deployed K-9 Kimber, who alerted on possible illegal drugs on the vehicle. Deputies say they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle after Kimber’s alert.

Peterson was arrested and later charged with meth possession, paraphernalia possession and reckless driving. His next court appearance is a preliminary hearing June 25.
