A suspected drunk driver named Marilyn McBay went berserk in an Arlington County jail and attacked police officers.
38-year-old Marilyn McBay of McLean was pulled over by police on April 24 at 12:25 a.m. for driving with a flat tire. The stop occurred in the 1300 block of N. Stafford Road. During the stop, the officer suspected that McBay was driving under the influence. She was arrested and transported to the Arlington County Detention Facility for processing.
While being booked into the jail, the female detainee became violent and began assaulting officers. She clawed at their faces and started beating them, trying to escape.
"While in booking, the suspect allegedly became combative and assaulted an officer and deputy by scratching both on the face and kicking the officer in the chest," the police report explains.
Marilyn McBay has been charged with two counts of assault and battery on a police officer. She has also been charged with one count of driving under the influence and one count of refusal of a breath/blood test.
McBay is currently being held in jail without bail.
