DUBLIN, Ohio — The City of Dublin announced two rock bands set to headline this year's Independence Day Celebration. KANSAS and 38 Special will co-headline the event, taking place on July 4 at Dublin Coffman High School. The two groups have multi-platinum albums and are known for their long history in the classic rock genre. 38 Special has been making music for five decades and is best known for their songs “Hold On Loosely,” “Caught Up In You” and “Rockin’ Into the Night.” The group is celebrating its history on their "50-Year Legacy Tour," where they are touring the country with KANSAS and other artists. KANSAS debuted as a rock band in 1974, releasing 16 studio albums and five live albums in their more than 50-year career. Their hits include “ Dust in the Wind,” “All I Wanted” and “Carry On Wayward Son." Dublin residents and Dublin City School District residents can purchase wristbands for the Independence Day Celebration beginning on June 15 at noon. The wristbands will cost $5 each and must be purchased online or at the Dublin Community Recreation Center. Wristbands will be available to the general public on July 1 for $10 each.
