ATLANTA — Duck hunting and Canada goose hunting seasons in Georgia will begin tomorrow, according to Georgia Department of Natural Resources dates released earlier this year .

The seasons begin Saturday, November 23 and will run partially through December and January.

“Thankfully, estimates of annual waterfowl abundance, harvest rates and population trends continue to allow us to utilize a liberal hunting season, so there are no notable changes to season dates, lengths, or bag limits this year,” Kara Nitschke, migratory gamebird biologist said in a Georgia DNR statement in June. “I hope that hunters are able to get out and enjoy many safe and successful hunts this season!”

The state also advises that after changes to the federal duck stamp hunting license in 2023, a physical duck stamp is no longer required. The e-stamp is considered the legal season license valid between July 1 and June 30 of the following year and can be shown through the Go Outdoors Georgia app .
