In case you needed any stocking stuffer ideas ...
If America runs on Dunkin' year-round, then it's safe to say the holidays run on hot chocolate. The cozy drink practically embodies the season with its rich flavor and wintry flourishes of mini marshmallows and candy canes. Dunkin' is known for hot chocolate too, and that's why they've teamed up with Frankford Candy to bring a new twist to the seasonal treat.
If you guessed hot chocolate bombs, that is correct. Starting this month, the Dunkin' Hot Chocolate Bomb and Dunkin' Mint Chocolate Bombs will be heading to store shelves. Priced at $3.99 apiece, each consists of Belgian milk chocolate and marshmallows inside, with the latter featuring a mint-infused flavor. To make them, you simply place the bomb in a mug, pour 6 ounces of hot milk, and presto! An inviting cup of hot cocoa is born. No need to stir in the powder mix or Jet-Puffed Minis; it's ready for sipping by the fireplace, assuming you won't burn your tongue, of course.
“Dunkin’ hot chocolate is on everyone’s holiday wish list, and this collaboration with Frankford Candy gives our fans a whole new way to celebrate,” said Brian Gilbert, vice president of retail business development in a press release. “These hot chocolate bombs are the perfect way to keep warm and have fun with friends and family this holiday season.”

Director of business development at Frankford Candy Molly Jacobson added the chain's status as "a favorite daily destination" for beverages made them the ideal company to collaborate with. The confectionary, who's been in business since the 1940s, has concocted candies for brands like PEEPS, Fruity Pebbles, and OREO, so it's not surprising they'd eventually partner with the coffee giant.
"We’re excited to work with Dunkin’ to give fans a new and surprising way to experience their favorite Dunkin’ hot chocolates and transport them into the holiday spirit at home," Jacobson said.
The two varieties will be sold at Big Lots, Ross Dress for Less, Christmas Tree Shops and That, and H-E-B, as well as on Frankford Candy's website. While they are limited edition, there is some good news. If you order from Frankford Candy, you can score a 12-count multi-pack that won't be available elsewhere. The price tag is hefty ($55), but then you'll be able to savor them all season long. We know we'll be stocking up!
