After leading the Philadelphia Eagles to the franchise's second Super Bowl title, quarterback Jalen Hurts now is being recognized off the gridiron.

The Super Bowl 59 MVP on April 16 was selected to the 2025 TIME100, an annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.

Hurts was selected for leading the Eagles to a 14-3 regular-season record and a dominating playoff run that ended in a 40-22 Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs .

Hurts was named Super Bowl MVP after going 17-22 with 221 passing yards and two touchdowns. He also broke his own Super Bowl quarterback record with 72 rushing yards and tacked on a rushing touchdown.

What is 2025 TIME100?



TIME100 is an annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world selected by TIME magazine.

This year's issue features five worldwide covers with each highlighting a member of the TIME100 including actor and producer Demi Moore, artist and entrepreneur Snoop Dogg, former tennis player and entrepreneur Serena Williams, singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, and co-founder and CEO of Google DeepMind Demis Hassabis.

Other athletes selected include Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, Olympic swimmer Léon Marchand as well as WNBA players Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier.

TIME will convene the 2025 TIME100 list at the TIME100 Summit in New York City on April 23 and the TIME100 Gala on April 24. The list will air during a primetime special on May 4 on ABC.
