EAST WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — East Windsor fire officials say a brush fire in the area of North Water Street was extinguished Friday morning.

The fire was reported around 5 a.m. By 7:30 a.m., fire officials said the roughly 100 by 100-foot fire was extinguished.

No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened.

As Connecticut remains under a state of emergency due to the risk of fires, the entire state has also now moved into a “moderate drought” status.
