LYNDON, Kan. (KAKE) - An eastern Kansas superintendent has been placed on administrative leave after he was arrested on child endangerment and obstruction charges. KTKA-TV reports that Brad Marcotte, the superintendent of Lyndon USD 421, was arrested on Friday on charges regarding child endangerment and interference with a law enforcement officer. Marcotte was booked and released the same day after paying a $2,500 bond. In a statement, school board president Bryant Derley said the board voted to place Marcotte on administrative leave. “We want to thank our staff for acting quickly and following safety procedures to protect students and keep them out of harm’s way,” the statement read.
