PHOENIX – Eat Up Drive In will be closed indefinitely after a fire at the east Phoenix restaurant on Sunday night.

“Everyone is safe and unharmed. … We will be closed for the foreseeable future,” the restaurant said in a social media post .

Crews were dispatched to the scene at 40th Street and Indian School Road just after 7 p.m. and found a working fire in the attic space of the building, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

Everybody was safely out of the restaurant by the time firefighters arrived.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

What kind of food does Eat Up Drive In serve?



Eat Up Drive In, which opened in 2021, serves family-style meals that are made from scratch daily.
