The Edmonton Oilers and their high-scoring offense led by Connor McDavid are always a treat to watch.

On Wednesday night they will visit the United Center in Chicago to face the Blackhawks and their young star Connor Bedard.

Edmonton (33-16-4, in the Pacific Division) last played on Tuesday night, going into St. Loouis and winning 3-2 in overtime as Connor Brown scored at the 2:33 mark.

In the extra period, Brown scored on a one-timer off a pass from McDavid for the win.

McDavid’s power-play goal at 5:50 of the second period gave the Oilers a 1-0 lead.

The Oilers are 15-7-2 on the road and 6-3-1 in their last 10 games.

McDavid has 22 goals and 48 assists for the Oilers while Leon Draisaitl has scored six goals and added nine assists over the last 10 games.

The Blackhawks (16-31-5, in the Central Division) last played Saturday at Florida and lost 5-1 to the Panthers as Sam Reinhart got his 30th goal of the season and added two assists and Matthew Tkachuk scored for the third time in the last four games.

Chicago got the fastest goal in franchise history for a quick 1-0 lead, with Landon Slaggert scoring just seven seconds into the contest. Petr Mrazek stopped 39 shots for the Blackhawks, who are 2-6-3 in their last 11 games.

Tyler Bertuzzi has 17 goals and 11 assists for the Blackhawks while Bedard has four goals and three assists over the last 10 games.

Wednesday’s game is the third time these teams match up this season. The Oilers won the previous matchup 4-3.
