Looking for a fun night out in the Norfolk, Virginia, area? Here is everything coming to NorVa in February!

The NorVa is a performing arts venue in Norfolk, Virginia. This industrial, modern-chic venue—with its chandeliers, hardwood floors, and stunning exposed brick—is mostly used for concerts. With a large first floor and a second-floor balcony, there are plenty of wonderful vantage points of the stage! Keep in mind that the majority of the tickets for NorVa are standing room only. While there are some seats available on the second-floor balcony, they are on a first-come, first-served basis. However, this gives you a great excuse to dance!

Whether you're planning on a date night or an evening out with friends, the upcoming events at the NorVa are worth considering. Ready to pick a concert (or two)? Below is a list of all of the February events at the NorVa—and what to expect.

Jimmie Allen | Saturday, February 1

Jimmie Allen kicks off February at the NorVa. This Mid-Atlantic-based country singer, known for "Best Shot," is going to light up the stage. Local Norfolk-based country band Runnin' Shine will also be performing. The show starts at 8 p.m. 

Raphael Saadiq | Friday, February 7

As part of his Jimmy Lee Tour to showcase his new album, Raphael Saadiq will be pulling into the NorVa. This R&B and neo-soul singer touches hearts with his melodic voice and is sure to deliver at this intimate concert venue. Singer/songwriter Jamila Woods and DJ Duggz are both performing as part of the tour, too! The show starts at 8 p.m.

Thrice | Thursday, February 13

Rock fans are sure to enjoy Thrice, who celebrates their Vheissu 15th Anniversary Tour by stopping at the NorVa. Performing with them as part of this tour is rock band mewithoutYou, punk band Drug Church, and rock band Holy Fawn. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Jacquees | Friday, February 14

For Valentine's Day, the R&B singer and songwriter will grace the stage with his smooth vocals and accompanying music. He is showcasing his newest album King of R&B on a national tour with the NorVa being near the middle of his tour. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Kamasi Washington | Tuesday, February 18

Jazz saxophone player and composer, Kamasi Washington, will bring his melodic notes to fill the space at the NorVa. The jazz bandleader is sure to transport the audience to the calmer, softer atmosphere of jazz. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

The Allman Betts Band | Wednesday, February 19

The sons and some former cohorts of the famed Allman Brothers Band, the conglomeration of The Allman Betts Band heads on the road. As part of their tour to showcase their new album Down to the River, this blues-rock band will grace the stage at the NorVa and fill its halls with their downhome beats. Also performing with The Allman Betts Band is rock guitarist JD Simo and rock guitarist Jackson Stokes. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Subtronics | Thursday, February 20

Lovers of house music and dubstep should clear their calendar. Subtronics comes to Norfolk during his tour to pump up the party and get everybody dancing and moving. Other dubstep DJs performing on the 20th include Hesh, Chee, Bommer, and Level Up.

The Legwarmers: The Ultimate '80s Experience | Saturday, February 22

For those longing for days gone by, head down memory lane with The Legwarmers. This 1980s tribute band will take the stage and play some of the decade's most popular hits. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Old Crow Medicine Show | Saturday, February 29

This famed Americana string band—winner of two Grammys and one Country Music Television Music Award and known for the ever-recognizable song "Wagon Wheel"—is closing out February at the NorVa. Lovers of melodic folksy music will enjoy the evening as this warm-hearted group plays the night away. The show starts at 8 p.m.

With so much variety gracing the stage at the NorVa, there is something for everyone this month. Make sure to buy a ticket early and get ready to enjoy the show.
