Fans have heavily criticised Marcus Rashford after he was spotted courtside watching an NBA game between the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets.

The 27-year-old Manchester United forward has made a difficult start to the season with just four goals.

Rashford was not selected for England's squad, so he got some time off the football pitch. He chose to watch the Knicks defeat their city rivals, the Nets, 124-122, at Madison Square Garden (MSG), per NBA .

Knicks guard Jalen Brunson gifted the Man United star his game-worn jersey, which he also signed after the game.

Rashford shared a photo of Brunson signing the jersey for him, and while many didn't mind his trip to the USA, some had a problem.

They criticised Rashford for travelling to the USA, with one fan recorded on video making a comment about Crystal Palace. As he exited MSG, a fan was heard aiming a jibe at Rashford.
