COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Starting this afternoon, “feels-like” temperatures will top out around 100 degrees through the rest of the week. Good morning! High pressure offshore will continue feeding moisture into the Carolinas, keeping us humid throughout the day. We’ll have a blend of clouds and sunshine, with high temperatures in the low and mid-90s. “Feels-like” temperatures will top out around 100 degrees! A couple of showers and storms can’t be ruled out this afternoon and evening as we reach the peak heat of the day, but opportunities for rain will be limited. Most of us will remain dry, hot and humid. Through the rest of this week and into the upcoming weekend, heat and humidity will hold strong with high pressure remaining offshore. High temperatures will hover in the low and mid-90s, with “feels-like” temperatures around 100 degrees. Each afternoon will offer up a low chance for a pop-up thunderstorm or two, but most of us will remain dry. Although it isn’t likely, heat alerts may be needed for parts of South Carolina towards the end of this week. In order for a Heat Advisory to go into effect, heat index values (”feels-like” temperatures) need to be as high as 108 to 112 degrees for at least 2 or more hours. First Alert Forecast: .
