A fire has been reported near Cloudcroft, New Mexico.

According to the , the fire has reached about 235 acres and is being called the "Gail Fire".

The source of the fire was located near the Hortonville area about 10 miles East of Cloudcroft on Highway 82.

According to multiple by the Cloudcroft Fire Department, there is currently no risk to the Village of Cloudcroft but evacuations have been set for residents who live between mile markers 31 -33 on Hwy 82 in Mayhill.

Cloudcroft High School has been designated as the evacuation point, according to the .

Although information is limited, weather conditions on the fire are expected to improve overnight into tomorrow, according to the Cloudcroft Fire Department.
