WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Officials are working to determine the cause of a house fire where a body was found inside.

Wichita Falls Fire officials were called to the 1200 block of 36th Street around 3:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, for reports of a structure fire with heavy smoke showing from the structure.

Firefighters contained the fire and while they were clearing the scene, a deceased person was discovered inside the house. They then called Wichita Falls Police to assist.

The cause of death is also under investigation.
