Yesterday morning, a fire caused significant damage to the Objects Found antique store in Catonsville, leading to its temporary closure. As reported by FOX Baltimore, Baltimore County firefighters were called to the scene at 8:08 a.m. after noticing smoke emerging from the building at 11 Egges Lane.

The first responders, part of the Catonsville fire station, encountered flames within the store and on its roof, initiating a firefighting effort hamstrung by challenges, including a partial second-floor collapse that raised concerns for their safety. During the operation, FOX Baltimore reported that one firefighter sustained a hand injury unrelated to the structural collapse and required hospital treatment .

"Due to fire, Object Found will be closed until further notice," the store management announced in a Facebook post, as detailed by FOX Baltimore . This reflects the uncertainty surrounding the duration of the closure caused by the fire. Fortunately, no other injuries have been reported since the store was not open to the public when the fire occurred.

The fire at the antique store was finally brought under control by 9:50 a.m.; however, the cause of the fire is still under investigation, and the extent of the damage is yet to be determined. Officials and fire investigators are scouring the scene to uncover what sparked the blaze. WBAL-TV has contributed to this information.
