Nerds, rejoice! Marvel just dropped the trailer for the highly-anticipated film Thor: Ragnarok, which hits theaters in November, and it looks incredible!
As a huge nerd and comic book fan, I've been extremely excited about visiting Asgard again and seeing where Thor's story takes him in this next installment of the Thor films. Thor: Ragnarok is set to hit theaters in the United States on November 3, 2017. So we've still got some time until the God of Thunder graces our screens once more!
Luckily, the wait is cushioned with a first look at Chris Hemsworth's hammer-wielding hero – well, minus the hammer – as he is thrust into a gladiatorial contest hosted by The Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum) and is pitted against his friend (turned foe?) the Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo. Thor is in a race against time to defeat the powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying Asgard. The trailer begs the question of "how?", especially without the power of Mjolnir at his side.
It's a film that's sure to provide the laughs, action and drama we've become accustomed to in Marvel films. While the previous two Thor movies provided action and some comedy, this latest installment seems like it is going to have more of a Guardians of the Galaxy feel to it. And I cannot wait!
The trailer debuted at 13.5 million views within 24 hours and the viewership is only going to continue to grow. It got many people across social media pumped and excited.

I'll (shamelessly) be watching this trailer on repeat until the film comes out later this year! Or until we get another preview... Also, keep an eye out later this week, as the Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi teaser trailer should be (fingers crossed!) dropping during the Star Wars Celebration 2017 in Orlando.
