KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Our active weather pattern remains in place through Tuesday morning. Expect more rounds of showers and a few thunderstorms, producing heavier rain.

Our first completely dry day arrives on Wednesday. Seasonally warm weather is slated for Friday and Saturday, feeling more like early summer but not too humid.

SUNDAY: Our last round of showers mainly exits by 2 p.m. today. Most neighborhoods receive less than .10″, with localized higher amounts up to .25″ from heavier showers. Communities drenched by repeated rounds of showers and storms Friday and Saturday may experience brief, localized flooding. Sunshine will have a harder time finding many breaks in the persistent cloud cover this afternoon. Highs will struggle, up to 10° cooler than yesterday in the middle 60s.

SUNDAY EVENING: Good news if your plans take you outside this afternoon and evening, like to Celebration at the Station. Dry weather continues with a few breaks developing in the cloud deck. Breezy conditions make it feel cooler than the actual temperature, which will cool into the upper 50s.

MONDAY: Timing our rain chances still presents a challenge. Unlike yesterday and today, there is no definitive time when we will not have the possibility of rain. Best case, it’s heaviest in the morning with lighter rain and showers for the afternoon. Confidence is growing that we have the chance to be wet all afternoon with light rain. We are 100% sure it will be cool, possibly the third coolest Memorial Day in Kansas City. Only 60° is our destination.

From experience, we’ve learned the MLB does not like to postpone holiday baseball games. The Royals play that afternoon, and you can watch the game here on KCTV5 .

TUESDAY: A parting shot of wet weather is possible during the morning before this active pattern finally moves on. Some of us may deal with showers as we head back to work. Rainfall up to .10″. Morning lows settle in the lower 50s. The chance for wet weather ends around 10 a.m. with mostly cloudy skies and cool conditions for the rest of the day. Highs in the mid-60s.

WEDNESDAY: Our first complete dry day since last Thursday. Our sky becomes brighter, partly cloudy, with spring-like conditions. Our morning begins in the low 50s with a spring-like high near 70° with low humidity.

FRIDAY: More comfortable weather, partly cloudy and middle 70s.
