Florida baseball earned a No. 2 seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament and will play in the Conway S.C. Regional. The Florida Gators (38-20) will open NCAA Tournament play on May 30 against 3 seed East Carolina (12 p.m.,, ESPN2). Coastal Carolina, the No. 13 national seed, will host the regional as the No. 1 seed and will face No. 4 seed Fairfield. If Florida can advance to the Super Regionals, it could face an SEC showdown at No. 4 national seed Auburn (38-18), which is hosting a regional. Florida and Auburn didn't play during the 2025 season. Florida is vying for its third straight College World Series trip and 10th in 18 seasons under head coach Kevin O'Sullivan. UF rebounded from a 1-11 start in SEC play and 20-14 start overall to win 18 of its last 24 games. Overall, Florida is making its 40th NCAA Tournament appearance in school history and 17th under O'Sullivan. The injury-ravaged Gators are hoping to get shortstop Colby Shelton (.377, 7 home runs, 35 RBIs, 19 doubles) back from a hand injury that has sidelined him for close to a month. Florida has lost center fielder Kyle Jones (shoulder), second baseman Cade Kurland (shoulder) and catcher Luke Heyman (broken forearm) to season-ending injuries. Offensively, Florida has been led by infielder Bobby Boser (.330, 16 home runs, 61 RBIs), catcher/designated hitter Brody Donay (.315, 17 home runs, 38 RBIs) and infielder Brendan Lawson (.301, 9 home runs, 57 RBIs).
