Gas prices increased $0.19 last Thursday before settling to $3.11 on Sunday, March 30, according to AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Florida gas prices followed a familiar trend of rising in the first half of the week, then falling through the weekend,” said spokesman Mark Jenkins. Sunday’s price of $3.11 per gallon is $0.14 more than a week ago, the same as a month ago and $0.49 per gallon less than this time last year. The most expensive metro markets are West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($3.27), Gainesville ($3.20) and Naples ($3.19). The least expensive metro markets are Panama City ($2.89), Crestview-Fort Walton Beach ($2.89) and Pensacola ($2.96).
