The 2025 NFL Draft didn’t open the way Florida fans hoped, and definitely not the way they’ve gotten used to.

For the first time since 2012, no Gator heard his name called in the first three rounds. But once Day 3 rolled around, the ball got rolling for Florida.

The Gators actually ended the draft on a good note, having the most players drafted in four years (seven).

Florida kept it going into the Sixth Round, with quarterback Graham Mertz (No. 197, Texans) and punter Jeremy Crawshaw (No. 216, Broncos) getting scooped up. Safety Trikweze Bridges closed it out at No. 256, heading to the Chargers with one of the final picks of the draft.

In total, seven Gators were drafted.

Bottom line: Florida’s streak of early-round dominance took a hit. But the NFL pipeline in Gainesville? Still alive and well.
