The Florida Panthers (44-26-4) take on the Toronto Maple Leafs (45-25-4) Wednesday. Puck drop from Scotiabank Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NHL odds around the Panthers vs. Maple Leafs odds and make our expert NHL picks and predictions .

The Panthers dropped a home-and-home with the Canadiens with the latest a 3-2 OT loss at Montreal Tuesday. They are 4-5-1 in their last 10. LW Matthew Tkachuk , who has been out since the Four Nations Face-Off, has resumed skating and is expected back for the playoffs. The Cats sit in third place in the Atlantic Division but are just 2 points out of the top spot.

The Maple Leafs hold on to that top spot in the Atlantic, 1 point ahead of the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Leafs are 3-0-1 in their last 4 games with a 3-2 win at the Anaheim Ducks Sunday. RW Mitch Marner scored his 23rd goal of the season. He has 5 points in the last 5 games with 2 goals and 6 assists during the stretch.

Panthers at Maple Leafs projected goalies

Bob took the loss Sunday after stopping 19 of 22 against Montreal at home. He was great in March, though, going 7-3-0 with a 1.59 GAA and .927 SV% with 3 shutouts. He’s 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .939 SV% against Toronto this season.

Stolarz has won 3 straight starts after stopping 35 of 36 in a 3-1 win over the LA Kings Saturday. The Leafs have been going with more of a 50-50 split between the goalies. During his 3-game winning streak, Stolarz has stopped 79 of 85 for a .929 SV%. He’s 0-2-0 with a 3.61 GAA and .854 SV% in 2 starts against the Panthers this season.

Panthers at Maple Leafs picks and predictions

Prediction

Moneyline

The Panthers were +105 around noon, but this has become an old-fashioned pick ’em. The Panthers won 3-2 in Toronto March 13 without Tkachuk, but this Toronto club is getting better goaltending of late. C John Tavares was also the second star for the month of March with 7 goals and 20 assists in 13 games.

I like the MAPLE LEAFS (- 110 ) at home.

Puck line/Against the spread

Don’t like either side here.

PASS .

Over/Under

The Leafs are 5-4-1 O/U in their last 10, and the Panthers are 4-6. The Over has cashed just 3 times in the last 10 meetings between the teams. However, 3 of those came in the last 4, but I’m focused on what I’m seeing with the goaltending. These late-season games always have a grind-it-out, playoff vibe.

Take UNDER 5.5 (- 102 ).
