TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Florida State softball team will have to fight if they want to lock in their 13th trip to Oklahoma City for the Women’s College World Series, as the Seminoles fell 3-0 to Texas Tech Thursday in Super Regional play. Texas Tech scored in the top of the first inning in game one of the best of three Super Regional, and never looked back. NiJaree Canady pitched a gem for the Red Raiders, allowing just two hits and striking out four. Texas Tech scored one in the fourth and added another run in the seventh thanks to solo homeruns. Game two is set for Friday at 3:00. Florida State has to win to force game three on Saturday. If Texas Tech wins, the Red Raiders will seal up their spot at the Women’s College World Series.
