I finally made it to two of the newest Mexican restaurants in town, which recently opened a few doors down from one another on MacCorkle Avenue in Kanawha City. And yes, I have a favorite. I enjoyed a nice burrito at Los Amigos , 5711 MacCorkle Ave. SE, inside the former location of The Pitch in Kanawha City. But, over time, I’ve found I’m generally less enamored than most with the food at their three locations around the Kanawha Valley. It’s fine, but I believe there’s better elsewhere. This is an undated contributed photo of the El Patron burrito from Los Amigos in Kanawha City. Plaza Maya II, 5790 MacCorkle Ave. SE, in Kanawha City, and Los Amigos, 5711 MacCorkle Ave. SE, in Kanawha City, are shown on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024. These photos show Chicken Tortilla Soup and Burrito Tropical from Plaza Maya II, in Kanawha City (left), and the El Patron burrito from Los Amigos, also in Kanawha City.
