The People of the Steamboat protest are speaking out! Against what you ask? The Weather!

As political tensions run high across the country, Facebook arguments are commencing and Thanksgivings are bound to be a bit more awkward than usual, the people of Steamboat Springs are speaking out against a more pressing issue - WHERE’S THE SNOW!? Brandishing signs stating “Not My Season,” and “Powder to the People,” the people of the Steamboat protest are wondering where their winter is. Political protests are taking a backseat on this important lack of snow the mountain town so desperately craves. While they’re getting their wish in some parts of the high country with some flakes finally falling in Winter Park, Steamboat is itching to get some fresh pow, and it’s just not coming. “Where is our salvation?” One local asked, seemingly to the gods above. Steamboat Protest This time in years past we’d be packed with snow even down in Denver. But some unknown force called climate change has taken the reins on the powers-that-be in the skies. While comments surrounding other November happenings claim “the sun will rise again tomorrow,” Steamboat Springs residents are hoping for the exact opposite. Let’s hope all of our high country gets dumped on in the next week or so. I think we’re all in need of a snowy escape!
