Former Berks Catholic and University of Pittsburgh standout Brandon George signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent, the university announced on X Monday.

George, who graduated from Berks Catholic in 2019, was a standout linebacker and running back for the Saints, making 347 career tackles in four seasons as a starter.

In his senior year at Berks Catholic, George made 108 tackles as middle linebacker, including eight for loss. He rushed for 959 yards and 13 touchdowns on 123 carries and led the Saints to an 11-3 record and fourth consecutive berth in the PIAA Class 4A playoffs. Berks Catholic was 48-8 during his four seasons as a starter.

At Pitt this past fall, George, who was a team captain, started all 13 games at middle linebacker, making compiled 80 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss. He had two sacks, three forced fumbles, one interception and one fumble recovery on the year.

He is the son of Neil and Stacie George and majored in business administration at Pitt.
