A former Penn State quarterback has found yet another new school via the transfer portal.

Ta’Quan Roberson is transferring to Buffalo, according to a Sunday report from 247 Sports . This will be his fourth school, following Penn State, UConn and Kansas State.

Roberson, who spent the 2024 season with Kansas State, entered the transfer portal at the start of the winter window. This will be his seventh season in college football.

Roberson, a New Jersey native, committed to Penn State as a four-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting cycle. He played in just two games in his first two seasons before being thrust into action at Iowa in 2021 when Sean Clifford exited with an injury in the top-five matchup. The Roberson-led Nittany Lions struggled with the Kinnick Stadium crowd and lost, 23-20.

Christian Veilleux went on to earn the backup job to Clifford, prompting Roberson to enter the portal in search of a new school. He went to UConn and spent two seasons with the Huskies. As their primary starter in 2023, he threw for 2,075 yards, 12 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Roberson joined Kansas State ahead of this past season, serving as the backup to starter Avery Johnson. He appeared in four games, completing three passes for 18 yards.

Roberson will likely need an NCAA waiver to compete for a seventh season.
