Residents can now travel to the Big Apple, thanks to a new Annapolis-New York City bus route by Megabus.

Discount bus transit company Megabus has recently announced that it will offer two services from Annapolis to New York City, starting on January 10. It will have two morning routes and two returning routes, seven days a week. Megabus’ new route will operate between the MTA Truman Park and Ride lot on 275 Harry S. Truman Drive in Annapolis and 34th street between 11th and 12th avenues in New York City, with one transfer at Baltimore’s White Marsh PTA Park and Ride lot. The route will take travelers from Annapolis to New York City in four hours and 20 minutes. Current and initial pricing of the new route is $39 -- Each Megabus ticket allows passengers to bring one carry-on bag and one piece of luggage. Tickets are already for sale online.

Plus, their free app allows passengers to watch dozens of movies and TV shows for free. Unlike most other bus standard and discount bus companies, Megabus offers reserved seating for the upper and lower decks. The front-of-the-bus window seats provide some incredible panoramic views.
