The popular outdoor theatre festival is coming this summer! Have you bought your tickets for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival 2017 yet?

It's typical in high school to read several of the famed playwright's plays and do a deep dive into the hidden meanings of the stories he weaved for the stage, whether it be about romance, politics, familial struggles, or a combination of all three. However, it wasn't until college that I truly gained an appreciation for the brilliance of Shakespeare. I've been wanting to watch one of his plays perform on stage for the longest time and, thanks to the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, that will be able to happen. The Colorado Shakespeare Festival (CSF) is the second oldest Shakespeare festival in the United States, and has been entertaining the folks of Boulder and the surrounding areas for nearly 60 years. They strive to celebrate the works of William Shakespeare by preserving "the classics of the past." The plays are performed underneath the gorgeous Boulder night skies in the historic Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre, or at the University Theatre. Those education programs allow for the children to connect with the continuing tradition of stage performance and the vital importance of Shakespeare in our lives.
