SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Coming off an exciting walk-off win in extra innings on Tuesday, the Eagles traveled down to Jacksonville for some midweek action on Wednesday.

Georgia Southern got in an early 3-0 hole, but Cade Parker came to the Eagles’ rescue in the third inning. He blasted his third home run of the season to give Southern a two-run lead and culminate a five-run inning.

The bad news for the Eagles -- Jacksonville responded by getting one back in the bottom of the frame and then added six more in the fourth inning.

Despite Southern’s best efforts, they weren’t able to crawl out of yet another big hole, falling 13-11. The Eagles will be back home on Friday to kick off a three-game set against Brown.
