Mother's Day is just around the corner, and some of us are still scrambling for that perfect gift for Mom. You can get her a hot air balloon ride (provided she's not afraid of heights!). If you do, you can preface giving the gift with a screening of Hallmark Channel's latest movie, Love in the Clouds.

A Seattle reporter Brooklyn (McKenzie Westmore) heads to the Balloon Fiesta, a hot air balloon festival in New Mexico, to do a segment on the event. While there, she is to interview hot air balloon pilot Jared (Paul Greene), whose business offers romantic balloon rides but is closed off to love himself.

Is the Balloon Fiesta real?

Yes! The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta features a variety of events including Dawn Patrol, Morning Glow, and mass ascensions. This year's event takes place in early October.

Paul Greene (Jared)

Greene spent several seasons starring as Dr. Carson Shepard on Hallmark Channel's longest running original series, When Calls the Heart. He also starred in Christmas CEO and Christmas in Angel Falls for the network. He previously starred in Fit for Christmas on CBS opposite Amanda Kloots and I'm Glad It's Christmas opposite Gladys Knight and Jessica Lowndes for Great American Family. Last year he starred opposite Jill Wagner in Great American Family's Bringing Christmas Home.

McKenzie Westmore (Brooklyn)

Westmore is best known for her role as Sheridan Crane on the soap opera, Passions. She was also the host of the SYFY reality game show, Face Off. Her other credits include Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Picard, and Miss Match.

Gail O'Grady (Jane)

O'Grady is best known for her roles on NYPD Blue and American Dreams. She has since appeared in roles on Hellcats, Boston Legal, and Desperate Housewives. She has previously appeared in the Hallmark Channel film, All I Want for Christmas.

Lorenzo Lamas (Brad)

Lamas got his big break and is still recognized for his role on Falcon Crest. He later led the series, Renegade and also starred in Big Time Rush which featured Carlos PenaVega as one of the band members of Big Time Rush. He also appeared in Grease opposite John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. His recent credits include Sharknado3, American Dad!, and Jane the Virgin. His character in Love in the Clouds is a retired Tae Kwon Do instructor. In reality, Lamas holds a third-degree black belt in the martial art.
