Calling All Legally Blonde Fanatics!
“Legally Blonde” has become a cult classic. From the “bend and snap” to the oh so relatable Warner, I can’t say there hasn’t been a chick flick to trump it since. Just when you thought you knew everything about the movie, think again. Here are ten Legally Blonde facts you definitely didn’t know. 1.Christina Applegate was offered the role of Elle Woods first and turned it down. No one completes the role of Elle as Reese did.
2.Reese was able to keep all 60 outfits that were seen in the movie.
3. It is reported that Warner had a HUGE crush on Elle in real life. So much so that they had to stop filming so the producers could ask if he was okay. When he finally told Elle how he felt in real life, she said “that’s sweet, but let’s keep filming.” Warner denied once again.
4. Bruiser’s real name was actually Moonie. Moonie passed away this past March. RIP.
5. Reese spent two weeks with University of Southern California sorority girls to make sure she had an accurate representation for her role.
6. Not only did she study sororities, she also attended some law school classes at Loyola. After this, she then proceeded to watch women in Beverly Hills shop to help her for the role.
7. The movie is based off of the book “Legally Blonde” by Amanda Brown.
8.Elle Woods has over 60 hairstyles in the movie. That’s basically one for each scene.
9. Reese Witherspoon had just given birth before the role of Elle and worked extremely hard to lose the weight before filming. You go girl!
10. The movie was originally meant to be filmed at Stanford. Stanford denied access, therefore it was filmed at Harvard.
