It will be a mild start to the day on Monday with morning low temperatures in the lower 50s. Afternoon highs will reach the low to mid 80s. South winds will be gusty over western Kansas. Temperatures will continue to climb through midweek. Highs will reach the mid 80s on Tuesday with lower 90s for much of the state on Wednesday. Wichita could come close to a record high temperature Wednesday afternoon. Highs will remain in the low to mid 80s for the rest of the week as dry weather continues. Our next storm system is expected to arrive by next weekend, bringing returning chances for showers and thunderstorms.
