BALTIMORE (WBAL) - A disturbing hit-and-run was caught on camera in Baltimore. An Amazon delivery van was seen hitting and dragging a woman who was crossing the street. A Ring doorbell camera captured the moment an Amazon truck ran over a 29-year-old woman at the intersection of South Chester Street and East Pratt Street in the Butcher’s Hill neighborhood of Baltimore. Police say it happened around 9:30 p.m. Monday. The video shows the driver stopping with the can still over the woman then moving forward and running over her with the back wheels. The driver then stops, gets out and walks over and around the woman. The driver even crouches down for a few seconds next to her before getting back into the van and driving away. A few seconds later, another driver and others come to help the woman. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and she is expected to be OK. A spokesperson with Amazon said, “We were made aware of this terrible incident today. The driver in question has been suspended from delivering on our behalf and we’re working with his employer and law enforcement as they investigate.”
