AIDS Walk Colorado -- A Walk for Life is coming to Colorado on Saturday, August 19. Here's what you should know about the event.

AIDS Walk Colorado is the Rocky Mountain region's oldest one-day HIV and AIDS fundraiser. The overall event is a walkathon to raise money to battle the AIDS epidemic. AIDS Walk Colorado benefits the vital services for HIV/AIDS clients of Colorado Health Network's regional Colorado AIDS Project. Don't miss your opportunity to support and Celebrate Life at Cheesman Park on Saturday, August 19. AIDS Walk Colorado AIDS Walk Colorado is one of many initiatives organized by the Colorado AIDS project, a statewide organization serving nearly 4,000 individuals living with HIV/AIDS, and those at risk. The Colorado AIDS project has six separate offices across Colorado: Colorado Springs, Denver, Fort Collins, Grand Junction, Greeley, and Pueblo. These offices, along with Howard Dental Center in Denver and the Colorado Health Network, provide important educational information and assistance to those living with HIV/AIDS. AIDS Walk Colorado is a day to remember those we have lost due to the disease. The event will feature opportunities to listen to several prominent speakers, as well as take a solemn moment at the AIDS Memorial Quilt to remind ourselves of those we've lost and the true impact of this horrible disease. A Celebration of Life Festival will also be held and will include live entertainment, food, beverages, and the 9th annual AIDS Walk Colorado Volleyball Tournament.
